HANIFA Presents Digital SS2022 Collection

3D Fashion Runway Pioneer, HANIFA Presents Digital SS2022 Collection

June 22, 2022

One of the first fashion innovators to live stream a 3d virtual runway show on Instagram will showcase an elevated multimedia runway experience.

"Live Out Loud" — the point-of-view S2022 runway show immerses viewers into a full digital experience of the brand's new collection pieces. The fashion film embodies inclusivity and features an array of models of all shapes, ethnicities and sizes who strut fiercely down a runway flooded with water.

Ready-to-wear contemporary brand Hanifa by Anifa Mvuemba premiered its S2022 runway show at last night at 7 p.m. via the brand’s official YouTube channel @Hanifa. The collection, inspired by the theme “Live Out Loud”, will showcase 28 looks featuring an array of bright colors, bold patterns, and flavorful designs that follow each other down an elevated runway experience, unlike anything the industry has seen before.

The Summer 2022 collection is an expression of joy, celebration, and wonder. Intense color and feminine shapes with exuberant movement take precedent. This presentation is a roaring reminder to live out loud with an emphasis on rich, provocative colors and powerful gradient designs.

“As we continue to explore new avenues of creating for women without limits, we found that the 3D virtual world gave us a lane of our own to innovate and think outside the box,” said Anifa Mvuemba, Founder and Designer of Hanifa. “Through this collection, we hope to inspire others to ‘live out loud’. It’s important to believe in yourself, love what you do, and let that passion inspire you. That – to me – is the true embodiment of the Hanifa woman.”

Known for strikingly beautiful imagery presented with tech-driven innovation as the backdrop for each look, Hanifa continues to showcase the female figure in an elevated light. The brand has been worn by the likes of Beyoncè, Gabrielle Union, Ashley Graham, Sarah Jessica Parker, and more, and is slated to debut an all-new S2022 collection with sizes ranging from XS to 3XL. The show, produced by Majors Productions, will feature models with an array of body types, ethnicities, and skin tones. Pieces from the collection will be available for purchase immediately following the show on Hanifa.co

Founded in 2011 by Congolese American designer Anifa Mvuemba, DC-based ready-to-wear contemporary brand Hanifa, was born with an ambitious spirit to make edgy, feminine, size inclusive clothing that compliments the natural curves of a woman’s body. Known as the first brand to livestream a virtual runway show on Instagram via Pink Label Congo of May 2020, Hanifa has been credited by Vogue, Essence, Forbes, Elle, Teen Vogue and more. Last season, Mvuemba brought the fashion community to her DMV home base to debut, for the first time in person, a 35 piece runway collection. The National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. was transformed into a whimsical reality and the room filled with tastemakers from near and far, eager to see what Hanifa had in store. The emerging brand has pioneered a lane at the intersection of tech and fashion and is dedicated to creating spaces for others through Anifa’s platform CBYAM, that’s coming soon.
