Make Me Famous: The Kaplan Twins
Two bodies, one soul; the perfect portrait of the new generation, in both appearance and attitude, but with more consciousness of what living today means with the desire to express it. Since the time they were kids; art has always been a key component, The Twins truly live, breath and eat for their art. As they grew, the sisters became inseparable as their talents flourished and fed off one another.
From after-school museum trips to viewing Broadway shows with their mom —Mama Mondays— these girls have truly nourished their creative minds from an early age. Their education and enrichment in the arts lead them to graduate from New York University (N.Y.U), shortly after Allie and Lexi Kaplan became widely known as The Kaplan Twins; A bundle of energy, newness, and creativity that speaks with one powerful voice and two creative minds.
Their artistic style is a brand new cultural code, made into images that we easily identify with; It is the new language of modernity, powerful and ruthless.

Effortlessly The Twins have integrated our culture with powerful, intimate, and beautiful art; not only catching the new generations eye, but rooting itself deep into the already established art circles. From museums to exhibitions, they have taking the art world by storm, and entranced us with tier creations.
Their paintings remind us of Pop Art’s pioneer Andy Warhol, with his artistic exploitation of current objects such as the Campbell Soup and Marilyn Monroe. Now The Twins have taken that inspiration and created a new genre, Instagram Art – as Allie and Lexi title it. This new style’s growth is so shocking, sarcastic and provocative, causing us to wake up from an insta sleep to analyze who we are, what we created ,and where pop culture is heading to.
The Kaplan Twins have reached one of the main goals of art: to be shocking and to lighting up social culture’s obscurities, while spreading truth about the beauty of being the most confident and true version of yourself. There is no filter as strong as the strength of a voice that wants to change the tack.
