Nikki Vianna Debuts Lush "Mambo Italiano" Music Video

Nikki Vianna is back in a big way on January 31st with her release of “Mambo”, which prominently features a sample from the 1955 hit single “Mambo Italiano” (in 1955 actually reached #10 on the charts in the U.S. and number one on the UK Singles Chart).

Paired with Nikki’s first official music video shot in an old NYC Italian restaurant, we expect the new life of this song to reach even bigger heights than it did in 1955. Nikki Vianna being Italian herself, her performance on this song is effortless and shows the world exactly how talented she is.

The song is a very catchy and modern take on Mambo Italiano, PERIOD. Fresh look, soft face, and a sultry attitude, Nikki has all the qualities to become a breakout star for the hot summer. This song is definitely a BOP, one you won’t pass up adding to your playlist, and while her enticing voice and modern take of an old legend is exactly what she needed to be put on the map, she will be right on everybody’s radar. In addition to her captivating lyrics, her music video is very inviting nonetheless, with strong colors and Nikki’s beautiful demeanor.

Who is Nikki Vianna? Can you please introduce yourself?

I am a NYC based singer & songwriter. I’ve been writing and performing my whole life, I knew from time I was 5 or 6 that I wanted to be an artist. I started recording when I was 9 or 10. I got my first major introduction to the business when I was only 10 years old and performed on American Idol Kids Jr. They were looking to create a kid group from it. The producers thought my voice was too big and strong to fit.  They said I was clearly a solo artist Ryan Seacrest said I was a performer with capitol P and not to stop and I never did. I started writing songs when I was still in grade school. I started posting original content that I had written & recorded with Poo Bear and Scott Storch in YouTube in 2012.  One of the songs called  “Let it go” went viral and I racked up millions of followers, I then started posting on Instagram and since then have accumulated over 3.5 Million followers. I got signed to Atlantic in late 2017 and we’ve been in the studio ever since putting together a great collection of songs.  Music is everything to me.  Can’t wait for fans to hear it all.

If you could collaborate with any artist living or deceased who would it be and why?

I don’t have one, but can tell you my top for sure:

1)Ed Sheeran
2) Sia
3) Kendrick Lamar
4) Amy Winehouse

How would you describe your sound? Where do you draw inspiration?

Rhythmic Pop with Soul.  I draw inspiration from my life, things I have been thru.

What kind of impression do you wanna make on the music industry or even in pop culture?

I want to be a career artist  I’ve only ever had one goal and that was to be the at the top, breaking barriers and charts along the way.

What’s the backstory of your new single Mambo Italiano?

I have loved singing since as long as I can remember.  Growing up in an Italian household, my family always had a variety of Italian classics or Italian inspired songs playing in the background, especially on Sundays!  The Rosemary Clooney version of Mambo Italiano was always one of my favorites.  When I heard this track with a flipped version of the chorus, I couldn’t believe it.  I connected with it instantly and had to record it.  It felt so special to me to be able to connect my upbringing to where I’m at in my career now.  It’s really special.

Can you give us a sneak peek to what we can expect from the new video?

The video is a modern spin on this classic song. We use some of the same imagery from the original performance, and bring in some very modern elements.

What can we expect next from you? An EP or an album perhaps?  I’m very excited for you to hear what’s coming next.

I have so many great songs with incredible collaborators.  But I don’t want to give it all away!!
