ProD.N.A. a New Skin-Care Collection Launched By Paris Hilton by JENNA DARLING

The DJ/designer/perfumer (and our favorite blonde socialite) has officially dropped a new skincare line called ProD.N.A., and its as over-the-top as you’d expect.

To say that Paris Hilton has had quite a busy year, can seem like a major understatement. Between getting engaged, releasing a new single, touring the world promoting her latest fragrance  Platinum Rush, she somehow found the time to collaborate with scientists on a new line of skin-care products called ProD.N.A. Nope, you didn’t read that last part wrong, she literally collaborate with scientists; don’t take our word for it, here is a quote from her press release for ProD.N.A.

Paris has literally met with world-renowned chemists to tackle select beauty concerns that have previously only been met with products that produce minimal results.press release for ProD.N.A.

Seemingly unrelated to her existing makeup brand Paris Hilton Cosmetics, ProD.N.A. centers on a proprietary complex called GenoMatrix, which, according to the brand’s press release, “utilizes a DNA repair enzyme found in a strain of microalgae sourced from the Mediterranean Sea, providing a natural solution to aging skin.” The theory behind ProD.N.A. is that because the body replicates its cells without differentiating between healthy and damaged ones, its formulas are needed to repair DNA at the cellular level before your skin can replicate the damaged cells. In addition to the microalgae enzyme purported to prevent damaged-cell replication, there are well-known ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin C-rich kakadu plum in the line’s four initial products: Dual Action Cleansing Gel, Lift & Firm Eye Cream, Advanced Recovery Serum, and Face & Decolletage Cream.

Now available on parishiltonskincare.com, prices of the products range from $29 to $115, the Advanced Recovery Serum being the most expensive. No word yet on if the line will expand to include additional products, but we’ll be sure to post an update as soon as we know what else might be coming from ProD.N.A.
