When submitting please follow the guidelines outlined on this page. Upon reviewing submissions, This Bitch Magazine reserves the right to accept or deny any submission we receive. Submissions are reviewed based on their content, quality, and relevance. This Bitch Magazine looks to publish the highest quality work.
All editorial submissions must include the following:
- Title of your editorial
- All images to be submitted in an attached PDF file including 5-13 different wardrobe changes with 3-5 image options per look showcasing varied angles, crops, and proportions.
- Do not submit your images in the body of the email or via Google Drive.
- In the same email, please include a full team list + links to portfolios and social media handles and clearly outlined clothing /designer credits in an attached pdf.
- Please also provide a two-sentence biography about yourself along with a headshot for our contributors’ page
- Send your work and any other important information to submissions@thisbitchmagazine.com
Editorial Proposals:
- All proposals are for online unless stated otherwise by the editor.
- Email must include a pdf outlining the full team list + links to portfolios, photographic refs, styling refs and brand list, hair/makeup imagery, location, lighting, and casting options.
- Send proposal plus any important shoot information including shoot and turnaround dates to submissions@thisbitchmagazine.com
Article submissions:
- You may submit a short format (300 words) and a long format (600 – 2000 words) story. We are looking for stories driving the zeitgeist in topics of Fashion, Art, Film, Music, Culture, Sex, and Politics.
- This Bitch requests that contributed articles remain exclusive to our site for 24 hours, after which time they may be reprinted in part or full on other sites, with a link back to the original article on thisbitchmagazine.com.
- Articles are subject to editing. Headlines and subheads are subject to change, the content may be edited for style or substance, links may be added for context, and art will be added at the discretion of This Bitch’s staff.
- Please also provide a two-sentence biography about yourself along with a headshot for our contributors’ page
Additional Information:
- Unfortunately, we do not supply free copies of the magazine. This is simply because of printing costs. However, we will happily provide links to the PDF format or information on where the magazine can be purchased.
- Please refrain from posting approved images or stories online prior to the launch of the issue. We reserve the right to pull the story should you do so.
- We are not liable for costs, if any, that occurred at your shoot. Please only carry out a shoot if you can financially afford to and have the necessary insurance to cover any unforeseen damage.
- Commissioning letters do not guarantee the publishing of your editorial. The editor will make the final decision. Decisions are based on the quality of submission and space available in the magazine. The issue that your editorial will be published in may also be subject to change.
- Please stick to the deadline and have arranged model release forms where appropriate.
- Should you be unhappy with any of the points brought up, please discuss them with us prior to submitting
Due to the volume of submissions we receive, we cannot answer all emails or guarantee that your story will be published with us. We carefully consider each submission, its cohesiveness with the rest of our content, and whether or not it suits the artistic vision of the magazine.
